Nike brought back all of the memorable Air Max shoes including the Nike Air Max 1, Nike Air Max 90, Nike Air Max 180, Nike Air Max 93, Nike Air Max 95, Nike Air Max 97, and Nike Air Max 2003. Not only were all of these Nike Air Max shoes restored, but Nike also made these shoes available on NikeID.com. Here, Air Max fans could create their favorite Air Max shoes in whatever color they wanted!
Nike Air Max 360 Midnight Launch
At the stroke of Midnight on Friday 20th January, Nike Town on Oxford Street, opened its doors to those people wanting to be the first in the UK to buy the latest generation in Air technology - the new Nike Air Max 360. With a limited number of special edition collector packs available, it will certainly be an event to never be forgotten!
Cutting edge technology means that athletes will literally be able to run on air. Boasting No Foam, Just Air, the Air Max 360 is the only shoe to feature 360 degrees of air cushioning, providing the athlete with the greatest ride ever.
The original concept of Nike Air was invented back in 1979 by NASA scientist, Frank Rudy, who claimed to Nike that he could offer cushioning that will never go away in a shoe.
When the first Air Max trainer launched in 1987, it was a revolution. For the first time, runners could see as well as feel the benefits of Nike Air cushioning.
Over the years, Nike has refined their technology and improved performance by removing more and more foam, so improving the runner's performance, and getting closer to the promise.
